Kraken tips Solana’s razor-thin inflation vote

A highly contentious proposal to alter the inflation rate of SOL, a vote called SGP-0002, has passed with precisely 67% ayes. Official rules require two-thirds of participating stake to pass, so the proposal cleared the bar by barely 0.33 percentage points. As a result of the vote, SOL’s so-called “disinflation rate” will double from 15% to 30%. SGP-0002 instructs the network to continue creating new SOL but shrink the inflation rate twice as fast. After switching its vote at the eleventh hour, holders of staked SOL at crypto exchange Kraken tipped the voting outcome . Its 8.9 million SOL validator, labeled “Kraken 2,” cast 90.34% of its stake in favor of the measure. Had Kraken’s votes cast No instead of Yes, SGP-0002 would have failed at approximately 63.9%, i.e. below the 66.66% threshold. Passed. Claude Developer Anthropic to File for IPO This Month: Bloomberg

Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI chatbot, will reportedly file its IPO on the US stock market before the end of this month, according to Bloomberg. The Claude developer is currently running the numbers as it prepares to file publicly, sources close to the firm told Bloomberg this week. Anthropic is pushing to match or beat the size of SpaceX’s record-setting initial public offering. Elon Musk’s SpaceX raised $75 billion prior to its IPO, making it the biggest first-time share sale ever. Back in June, Anthropic, which is valued at close to $1 trillion, submitted a draft registration statement to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering. Anthropic’s target reflects how the AI industry’s leaders are transforming the tech investment landscape. The five-year-old company raised $65 billion in May at a $965 billion valuation, surpassing rival OpenAI’s valuation of $852 billion in March when the ChatGPT maker raised $122 billion. Ethereum’s Distributed Asset Value (DAV), which tracks RWA tokens using the blockchain as a distribution layer, was at $17.36 billion on August 14, according to data from RWA.xyz .  ETH RWA’s 30D performance. Source: RWA.xyz Over the last 30 days, Ethereum’s DAV climbed 0.5%, thus solidifying this network’s lead in the tokenization bid. The ETH’s Represent Asset Value (RAV), representing RWA tokens using the blockchain as a record-keeping layer, was at $91.11 million at the time of reporting, up 19.43% over the past 30 days.  The rising tokenization on the Ethereum network has fueled an increase in RWA holders, currently at 223,858, representing a 4.99% uptick over the past 30 days. As such, ETH’s RWA 30D transfer v...
