Vitalik Buterin Says He Hasn't Sold Ethereum (ETH) Since 2018

Following recent rumors suggesting the contrary, Vitalik Buterin has clarified recent reports by stating that he hasn’t sold any Ethereum (ETH) since 2018. Indeed, Buterin’s comments come in response to recent reports that he has been selling millions of dollars worth of digital assets. Buterin issued a statement that clarified the recent transfers that had been observed by teh community. Specifically, he noted that the movement was in connection with donations and charitable organization projects. Subsequently, Buterin notes that he has not offloaded the asset for personal gain in five years. Vitalik wallet sends 400 ETH worth $600K to Coinbase

A wallet associated with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has been flagged sending 400 ETH worth $600,000 to Coinbase. Blockchain sleuths have flagged a number of ETH transactions from a wallet associated to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in September 2023 totalling over $3.9 million. Seperate blockchain monitoring profiles shared details of a 400 ETH transaction worth an estimated $632,000 from Vitalik’s wallet to Coinbase on Sept. 25. @VitalikButerin deposited 400 $ETH to #Coinbase at $1,579 ($632K) 2hrs ago. Ethereum co-founder's poll shows people want $100 lifetime .eth domains

Almost 50% of the 91,130 votes answered that the fair price for 100 years of owning a five-letter .eth domain is under $100. As Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains became more popular, the conversation has steered towards .eth domain pricing and what is considered to be a “fair” price to guarantee ownership for 100 years.  In a Twitter thread, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin asked the community what price they think is appropriate for registering and keeping ownership of a 5-letter . eth domain for 100 years. Buterin gave four options: under $100, $100–$999, $1000–$9999, and $10,000 or more.  Almost 50% of the 91,130 votes chose the most economical option of paying under $100 for 100-year ownership of an .eth domain. One respondent said that the result is to be expected as people always want the cheapest way to get good returns. Vitalik Buterin declares he is not staking all of his ETH, merely a 'small portion’

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin explained the “biggest reason” is because it has to be on a multisig – which are still “fairly difficult” to set up. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated that he does not stake all of his Ethereum (ETH) due to multisignature (multisig) wallets being “complicated in a bunch of ways.” On the 29 June episode of the Bankless Podcast, titled Re staking Alignment, Buterin revealed the “biggest reason” why he is only staking a small amount of his Ethereum. “Because if you stake your ETH, the keys that access it have to be public on a subsystem that is online.
