Bitcoin reaches highest monthly volume since September 2022

In January, analysts recorded a record trading volume in the blockchain of the first cryptocurrency; the figure amounted to $1.21 trillion. The last time trading volume on the Bitcoin network rose above $1 trillion was only in September 2022, according to The Block. At that time, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at around $20,000. NFT sales decline, Solana surpasses Ethereum’s volume

Investor interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has declined significantly for the first time since early November. Despite the market downturn, Solana (SOL) became the second-largest network for the asset class. According to data provided by CryptoSlam, the global NFT sales volume witnessed a 42% plunge in the past 24 hours, falling to $64.3 million. The total number of NFT transactions also declined by 21%, closing down to the 350,000 mark. Coinbase spot trading volume falls by 52% compared to 2022: Report

Coinbase recorded around $76 billion in spot trading volume, showing a sharp decline compared to the same quarter in 2022. The spot trading volume of Coinbase, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the United States, has dropped by more than half, highlighting a shift in interest in crypto trading.  Citing Analysis from digital asset data provider CCData, mainstream media outlet Bloomberg reported on Oct. 11 that Coinbase registered around $76 billion in spot trading volume . Compared to its quarterly record for the third quarter of 2022, the new data shows a 52% drop in spot trading for Q3 2023. According to the report, the new numbers are the lowest they've ever been since before Coinbase got listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market in 2021, which was also months before the prices of crypto were at their peak. Bitcoin spot exchange trading volumes have disintegrated since March, while BTC price action has gone barely anywhere, research shows. Bitcoin (BTC) exchange s have seen trading volume collapse as traders deal with constant macroeconomic uncertainty. According to new research from on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant published on Sept. 25, daily BTC volumes are at lows rarely seen since 2018. Fed keeps Bitcoin investors wary of “possible recession” Bitcoin price action has stayed in a familiar range for several months, and as time goes by, interest in transacting appears to be fading.
